Chris North
Client MD Global Financial Services - BT Global Services
From 1 May 2008, Chris North assumed the leadership role for Global Financial Services (including Thomson Reuters) as Client MD Global Financial Services, this is part of the BT Americas organisation. This role includes development of strategy for growing BT's business in the international finance vertical and global account management leadership of Financial Services accounts. It also includes growth of BT's specialist businesses BT Radianz and Trading Systems.
Previously, since April 2006 Chris North was the Client MD Thomson Reuters – this was the lead responsibility for building and growing BT’s business relationships with Thomson Reuters. This included migration and transformation of exiting Thomson Reuters services away from existing legacy networks onto the BT Global services MPLS backbone. The contract term is eight years and the value to BT is £2Bn. There are over 20000 connections to be migrated across 132 countries and this is BT’s largest overseas contract.
From May 2004, Chris was the Client MD HP and successfully led BT's relationship with HP. This primarily involved delivery of network services for HP in their EMEA region (contracts value £450m over 7 years) and establishing Go to Market, primarily for large enterprise customers. Prior to this, Chris was SVP Strategy & Business Development since October 2001, reporting to the then CEO Global Services Andy Green, with responsibility for formulating and leading the new strategic direction of BT Global Services with the focus on large corporate customers, and returning the international operations to profitability.
The Business Development responsibility included generating inorganic opportunities which consolidated BT Global Services leading position including Albacom, Reuters/Radianz and Infonet. Chris personally led the negotiations with the other Italian shareholders which enabled BT to take full ownership of Albacom. Prior to his Strategy & Business Development role, Chris spent almost 10 years of his BT career in various senior management roles in the Asia Pacific region, primilary Japan. In Japan Chris was responsible for the successful investments and divestments in Japan Telecom which resulted in a £3.5 billion cash gain on disposal. This comprised a series of complicated M&A transactions and then ensuring that we delivered operational synergies in both fixed and mobile. Prior to Japan, Chris was the financial and commercial controller for the Asia Pacific region based in Sydney, Australia. Chris is a qualified accountant and holds an economics degree from the University of Manchester. |

Mark Keene
Head of Channel Management - NS&I
Mark Keene joined NS&I in 2005. His present role is Head of Channel Management. In this capacity he is responsible for the smooth delivery of NS&I’s operations and ensuring that channels such as the internet and the telephone are developed in line with customer demand and best operational practice. As NS&I’s operations are delivered through an outsourced PPP, maintaining a good relationship with the service provider, Siemens is essential and Mark has overall responsibility for managing the Siemens relationship within NS&I.
Mark has spent over 20 years in procurement and contract/ relationship management roles. He commenced his career at London Underground Ltd where he worked on a wide variety of categories including the procurement of communications equipment and energy supplies. Before joining NS&I he was Commercial Director for the Police Information and Technology Organisation where amongst his responsibilities was the negotiation and management of the PPP ‘ Airwave’ contract to deliver a new secure digital communications service for the Police Service. |

Mark Hennessy
Marketing Director EMEA & LATAM - Convergys Corporation
Mark Hennessy is Marketing Director for Convergys Corporation’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) operations, based in Cambridge, UK. He is responsible for marketing and communications for all Convergys’ portfolio of offerings within these regions - including customer care, human resources, billing and business support systems (BSS) and consulting and professional services.
Prior to his current position, Mark served as Marketing Director for Convergys’ customer management group operations in the UK and Europe. He was responsible for the go-to-market strategy and execution for Convergys’ domestic, nearshore and offshore outsourcing services – including the initial UK market launch of Convergys’ offshore customer management services in 2002.
Mark has more than 15 years international marketing experience, including roles in product management, business development and marketing communications in the software, services and business process outsourcing (BPO) sectors.

Jonathan Cooper-Bagnall
Partner - PA Consulting
Jonathan Cooper-Bagnall is a Partner and Member of PA’s Management Group, and leads PA’s worldwide sourcing consultancy services.
Over the last 15 years, Jonathan has led a wide range of complex transformation initiatives where an appropriate approach to sourcing plays a pivotal role in completing a successful change. He is in demand on an international basis and has conducted sourcing reviews and major outsourcing programs throughout the USA, Europe and AsiaPacific. His thought leadership in the sourcing arena focuses on successfully accelerating the delivery of benefits to an organisation through insourced, outsourced, offshoring, and shared services arrangements.
Working across a broad set of industries, including Pharma, Finance, Transportation, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Government, has enabled Jonathan to provide the transfer of knowledge and insights to help organisations understand and achieve best in class solutions. This diverse portfolio of clients also provides for comprehensive experience in the development and implementation of the right governance and service management arrangements.
Jonathan worked for a number of European based outsourcing organisations before moving to PA Consulting in London, to continue in this specialist field. In 2000, he moved to Washington DC to further develop PA and quickly positioned the firm as a leading advisor in sourcing. In May 2005, he returned with his family to the UK.

Roger Camrass
Director, Business Transformation Group - Fujitsu Services in Europe
Roger Camrass is the Director of Business Transformation for Fujitsu Services in Europe. His primary responsibility here is to change our conversation with leading organisations within the Outsourcing context. Roger is also a visiting professor of ESADE Business School in Spain, and lecturer at the Ashridge Strategic Management Centre in the UK. He is a well respected speaker and author and personally established the first major outsourcing contract between EDS and Unilever in 1981.
His career spans 35 years in the IT sector, commencing with a research fellowship at MIT where he was a contributor to the initial design of the Internet. He subsequently launched the first digital PABX in Europe and focused on the IT revolution taking place in the office during the eighties with the emergence of the PC. In his consulting career Roger was a director of Butler Cox, a Director of Arthur D Little and Partner at Ernst & Young. He was also the European President of the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) where he led a global study entitled ‘Business in the Third Millennium’.
Roger is a graduate of Cambridge University and Masters graduate of MIT in Electrical Engineering.

Patrick Cogny
CEO - Genpact Europe
Patrick is French and graduated in Industrial Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris. He spent 15 years with General Electric, in Sourcing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Six Sigma and Customer Services roles, in Europe and the US. From 2003 to 2005, he led the GE Europe SG&A initiative, deploying Lean methodologies and centralizing operations in offshore platforms, in partnership with Gecis, the former BPO arm of GE which became Genpact in January of 2005. Patrick has since then been leading the European business of Genpact, providing Business Processes Outsourcing services to a large number of major multinational companies spanning all industries. |

Richard Hampson
Global Procurement Category Leader (Manpower) Head of T-Mobile UK General Procurement - T-Mobile UK General Procurement
Richard Hampson is the Procurement category leader for the Duetsche Telekom Group (DTAG) responsible for European spend on external Call Centres and temporary labour. He is also responsible for all marketing and indirect procurement for T-Mobile UK. He has extensive experience in selecting and managing off-shore vendors in both India and the Philippines. Richard led the T-Mobile team which with their outsourced partner set up the first UK Telecoms service centre in the Philippines and has demonstrated that with the right approach off-shore service centres can deliver the same results as UK centres. Before joining DTAG, Richard has held a number of senior purchasing roles in major organizations including Jones Lang LaSalle and has also acted as an outsourcing consultant for the NHS.
He is married with two children and I lives in Ascot. |
